Butterfly Tutoring is the brainchild of Weezie Krawcheck's social entrepreneurial experiences and childhood dreams, with the overall mission of enhancing educational equity throughout the United States.

After taking courses in both Art Therapy and the Orton-Gillingham method, Weezie perfected the Butterfly method to allow for the deepest progression in both information retention and emotional development for students of all ages.

All Butterfly Tutoring sessions are completely personalized to the needs, learning level and artistic leanings of each student. With time and enhanced client-practitioner comfortability, Weezie ensures that every student's linguistic and emotional development will both increase exponentially.

Offerings

Orton-Gillingham Tutoring

Phonics tutoring for students with dyslexia, ADHD and on the Autism Spectrum. Students move through Weezie's multi-sensory drill work to master basic phonics concepts bolstered by the continual introduction of new lessons based on the Orton-Gillingham approach and student assessments. Other activities include reading, creative sentence writing and experiential extension activities.

Therapeutic Art Lessons

Therapeutic Arts with ample studio time for experimentation and creation within artistic mediums. Weezie takes students through her therapeutic art sequence and regulatory exercises that are meant to bolster executive functioning skills, focus and calm. This subconscious exploration allows Weezie to psychoanalyze students in order to help them integrate traumatic memories and enhance emotional wellbeing.

Private Teaching

Personalized, private homeschooling supplementation and private teaching options to children from kindergarten through twelfth grade in the Greater Charleston community, or online via Zoom. Weezie allows her students the flexibility to choose their yearly subjects, and then curates a full, year-long program for their unique learning styles and educational situations.
